A Southern California mother discovers that an abandoned rocket testing facility called the Santa Susana Field Lab was the site of one of the largest nuclear accidents in United States history, and is located less than 4 miles from her home. As she suspects a link between the contamination and her daughter’s illness, she joins a determined group of mothers fighting for answers, accountability, and justice.
Early on in production, we created concept art to support the filmmakers' funding efforts and help shape the film’s visual direction. As the film evolved, our work inspired new creative possibilities—ultimately leading to an additional animated sequence at the end of the film that tied all of the storytelling elements together.
